What a title. It’s vague but it’s intriguing at the same time. So many people need to be motivated in some way to take action. Be it through a pep talk that they give to themselves, or through reading an inspirational message. We all need a kick in the butt at some point in our lives. So I’m here to give you that kick in the butt.
You’ve heard the saying don’t sweat the small stuff. But what about the big stuff? What do you do when you have a mountain of information and work in front of you? Take the first exit and run like h…? Ignore it and hope that it will go away? Or confront it with open arms?
If you take the first exit and run then you have not learned anything new and you have not accomplished anything. You are no further ahead then when you started out. And if you ignore it and hope it will go away you have not become skilful in any way either.
On the other hand if you confront it with open arms, you are taking a piece of the small stuff and building it into the big stuff. The big stuff is just a combination of the small stuff coming together.
There is no need to sweat the big stuff because the big stuff is the result of small bricks being put together to build a house. So whenever you think you have a huge task ahead of you, break it down into small pieces and one by one put them together. Shortly your house will be built. Including your house of knowledge.
This rule is true in business as well. You need to get up and get going to obtain the results that you want. Whether it be sending out that email or doing that promotion.
Just act – do something, propel action into motion. You will see results. They may be small at first, but the culmination of action will result in the final brick being laid.
